Who We Are

This Privacy Policy applies to Shrink: Photo Compressor, operated by bashubb, including the iOS app and its related website.

What Data We Process

Shrink does not require users to create an account or provide their name, email address, or other profile information in order to use the app.

Photos selected in Shrink are processed locally on the user's device. Photos are not uploaded to our servers and are not shared with RevenueCat or other third parties.

When a user makes or restores an in-app purchase, purchase and subscription information may be processed by Apple and RevenueCat in order to validate the transaction and manage access to paid features.

Photos and Photo Library Access

Shrink allows users to select photos from their photo library for compression and optimization.

Selected photos are processed locally on the device. Shrink does not upload photos to a remote server, cloud service, analytics provider, or payment provider.

Photo library access is used only to allow users to choose the images they want to process and save resulting images where applicable.

How We Use Data

Purchase and subscription information may be used to:

• Validate in-app purchases.
• Manage access to paid features and entitlements.
• Restore purchases across supported installations where available.
• Provide purchase and subscription analytics.

Shrink does not use personal data for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Third-Party Services

RevenueCat

Shrink uses RevenueCat to manage in-app purchase validation, subscription status, purchase history, and entitlements.

RevenueCat may receive purchase and subscription information and related technical information required to provide these services.

RevenueCat may also provide purchase-related analytics used to understand subscription and purchase performance.

RevenueCat does not receive the photos that users process with Shrink.

Apple App Store and StoreKit

In-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit.

Shrink does not receive or store users' payment card numbers, bank account details, or other payment credentials.

Apple may process payment, transaction, and account information according to Apple's own privacy practices.

GitHub Pages

The Shrink website and this Privacy Policy are hosted using GitHub Pages.

When users visit the website, GitHub may process standard web request information, such as IP addresses, browser information, device information, request timestamps, or similar technical data needed to operate the hosting service.

GitHub Pages is used only to host the Shrink website and related legal information. It is not used to process photos selected in the Shrink app.

Payments and Purchases

Shrink may offer in-app purchases through Apple's StoreKit framework.

Apple processes the payment transaction. Purchase and subscription information may then be shared with RevenueCat to validate the purchase and determine which paid features are available to the user.

Shrink does not directly process or store users' payment card or billing information.

Analytics

Shrink does not use advertising analytics or tracking technologies to follow users across apps or websites.

RevenueCat may process purchase and subscription information to provide purchase-related analytics, such as purchase history, subscription performance, and entitlement status.

Advertising and Tracking

Shrink does not display third-party advertising and does not use user data for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Shrink does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) for advertising or tracking purposes.

Accounts

Shrink does not require users to create an account or sign in.

RevenueCat may use an anonymous identifier to associate purchase status with an app installation or customer record. Shrink does not intentionally associate this identifier with a user's name, email address, or other direct identity information.

Data Sharing

Shrink does not sell personal information.

Purchase and subscription information may be shared with Apple and RevenueCat only as necessary to process purchases, validate transactions, manage entitlements, restore purchases, and provide purchase-related analytics.

Photos processed by Shrink remain on the user's device and are not shared with these providers.

Data Retention

We retain or allow our service providers to retain data only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the relevant service, manage purchases and entitlements, comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, or resolve disputes.

Retention periods for information processed by Apple, RevenueCat, and GitHub are also governed by those providers' respective privacy policies and legal obligations.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data processed in connection with Shrink.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, applicable law may provide rights regarding personal data processed in connection with Shrink.

These rights may include the right to request:

• Access to personal data.
• Correction of inaccurate data.
• Deletion of personal data.
• Restriction of certain processing.

Shrink does not maintain user accounts, so there is no Shrink user account that needs to be deleted.

Where a request concerns information held by a third-party service provider such as RevenueCat or Apple, we may need to use information related to the purchase or customer identifier to process the request, or the user may need to contact the relevant provider directly.

EEA and UK Privacy Rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, applicable data protection law may provide rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of personal data and to request data portability where applicable.

Shrink does not sell personal information and does not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Purchase and subscription information may be processed by RevenueCat, Apple, or their service providers in countries outside the user's home region, including the United States.

Appropriate safeguards are applied where required by applicable law.

Children's Privacy

Shrink is not specifically directed at children.

We do not knowingly collect names, email addresses, profile information, or photos from children through the app.

Website and Cookies

The Shrink website does not intentionally use advertising cookies, marketing pixels, or cross-site tracking technologies.

GitHub Pages may process technical request information as necessary to deliver and secure the website.

Third-Party Websites

The Shrink website or app may contain links to third-party websites, including Apple, RevenueCat, or GitHub.
